Argonaute families across the globe have received a Christmas gift, which also unveiled our new mascot Archie.
Our genes were named "Argonaute" (AGO) because a plant with a mutation in AGO1 looked like an octopus.
Alexander, one of our children affected by a mutation in AGO1, loves to knead and among a dozen octopuses the parents in our Facebook support group voted for their favorite. A designer then created Archie. Say hi!
We would like to say thanks to the Swiss Re employees and the Swiss Re Foundation who sponsored the gifts.
